Joe Kosek was born, raised, and educated in western Pennsylvania. After graduating from law school, Joe worked first in private law practice and then with several corporate entities, including a time as General Counsel for a coal mining corporation. During part of this time, he also earned an Executive MBA degree.

Subsequently, Joe and his family moved to Texas where he was admitted to the Texas Bar in 1994. He served as General Counsel for a small insurance company. Later, Joe went to work with a financial planning firm in the DFW area, where he worked in various capacities, including General Counsel and business manager. It was at that time that Joe developed an abiding interest in estate planning and began to work with individual clients on their planning. 

Joe now continues that estate planning interest through his law firm, Kosek Law, specializing in wills, powers of attorney and estate planning.

Joe is married with two adult children and four grandchildren.
